I have partaken the insane
root
And now it’s taking its toll.
It is slowly gripping me
And is taking me for a roll-
On the grass after many a year
Of a sophisticated life.
That I had begun to dread and fear
Because of its constant strife.
But I am happily rolling now
Without the slightest care
Not asking myself ‘why’ or ‘how’
I am grabbing my share-
Of the pleasure that life can ever
offer
And I don’t regret a thing
‘Coz I have God for my chauffeur
And I feel like a king.
