In that holy attire clad
You look perennially sad.
This life is not yet for
you.
Give up the hollow try.
In these robes you can’t
even cry.
And it’s time for you to
see it.
Shake off that pose of
yours.
You have wasted so many
years.
Live life and suck up all
its hues.
You can’t die a happy man
With a heart that’s a
half-filled can
And you must fill it up
with life.
After you are full and gay
You can choose to cast it
away
And put on these robes
with a smile.
